Public safety in Porter County is in my blood.  As Chief of Police for Valparaiso, I have worked diligently to keep the citizens of Valparaiso safe.  As Sheriff of Porter County, I will work even harder to protect and serve all citizens of Porter County.

I will bring my proven track record of excellence.  With over 30 years of experience on Valparaiso Police Department, I have been honored to protect and serve my community daily.  I have served on the police department in many different capacities and built partnerships with local, regional and federal agencies as well as schools, businesses, organizations and citizens.  I appreciate the importance of long-term strategic planning while successfully operating multi-million-dollar budgets.

As Porter County Sheriff, I will continue my work hard to keep all of Porter County safe and peaceful, where our citizens can thrive.  I will work relentlessly to combat drug issues and crime, while building partnerships and fostering relationships for a cohesive community, now and for years to come.
